Preventing Falls - Are You Feeling a Little Off Balance?

Hosted by Alfred C. Tomaio, MD

The older we get, the more we lose our balance and fall.  Falls are a significant cause of serious injury and can sometimes be fatal.

However, you don’t have to be older to benefit from fall prevention.  You can have a balance issue for many reasons – some of them due to a neurological impairment, such as diabetes or stroke. Early intervention can be a great benefit to those of us with these issues.

If you have questions about falls, including difficulty walking, dizziness, neck pain, tingling in your lower extremities, Alfred C. Tomaio, M.D., will be answering your questions.

Dr. Tomaio is a specialist in physical medicine and rehabilitation. He is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. He received his medical degree from UMDNJ and completed his internship at Cooper University Hospital and his residency at Kessler Institute, UMDMJ.
